Jim,

I really would like a "report this message as a problem" button somewhere, not just for forum postings but also for personal messages. I have been getting "buy my sure cure" type personal messages, and while I just delete them, it would be nice to be able to point to the sender as an abuser of the system.

Yes, the forum really needs to stay open, but we need tools for us (and for you) to more easily delete the posts and users from the get-rich-quick, view-porn-here, and insult-king posts.

Marty

I use to run a forum identicle to this one for '55 chevy fans and I dealt with the same spamming issues. It forced me to have to approve each new member before they were allowed to post a comment. The result? People quit posting! From my experience when a new member wants to post something, they don't want to wait for someone to approve there account first (which usually took me about 12 hours to approve) they want to post it while the idea is fresh. If they have to wait they'll probably go somewhere else. I'd say it's just something that we'll have to deal with if we want to continue sharing ideas and experiences.
