Most of those who join the forum use the WWW button at the bottom of every post to place their adds for their business or to advertise a product. I can block email account and usernames. Most of these members never even post one message to the board so their ads are not available to other members. I do not think advertisers are aware of this. Legitimate member will still be able to place a link to their blog or personal website in their signature block. Nevertheless, since I am unable to block websites and if it is technologically possible, should I deactivate that feature?

Pros... I believe this will greatly discourage potential new members from joining only to place a link to their ads.

Cons... Potential advertisers my start posting messages in order to link to their products. A few already take the time to do this.

Again, before even mentioning this to Dr. Leo, I would like feedback from the community of member.
