Anyone have problems with water retention in the legs after being terribly ill for an extended period of time? My mother is recovering from a bone marrow transplant due to multi-myeloma. she had been hospitalized for a month with the experience. Everything has gone as expected except for the excessive water retention in her legs. Doctors have her on diuretics but they don't seem to be working. Her legs are so heavy they make it difficult for her to walk. She is cold constantly even though it is quite warm in the room. Anyone have any experience with this? Sad

Hi sparkleyeyes, my father had water retention problems but unrelated to the cancer or the treatment he received for it.

I am going to move your thread to the appropriate forum since I think you will probably get more information there than in the "General Topics" forum.
