Dear colleagues:

Just thought I'd share some news from UC Berkeley with you regarding a compound found in broccoli that is making news worldwide.

Diindolylmethane (DIM) from broccoli has potent direct anti-cancer properties and immune modulating properties that contribute to its anti-cancer properties.

DIM is currently available as a dietary supplement. Mother nature has plenty of it packed in broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and Brussel sprouts.

Regards,

Mike D

None of these links are really to UC Berkley as the author of the thread suggests.

So you were already aware that DIM has apoptotic, anti-inflammatory properties and more recently, immune modulating properties?

Very good. You're keeping up with recent developments.

Also responding to the earlier comment. These are both sites that are developed with faculty input from UC Berkeley and are intended to share their findings with the public. They cite the papers published by them and review their findings regarding DIM. You two are now experts in molecular nutrition and oncology and the content is not good enough for you? What scientific qualifications do you have to pass such judgements other than managing a web forum and being a "senior user of the forum"?

These are both outstanding and very informative websites reviewing information that can be valuable to people in this forum.

My qualifications are not the issue here. I stand by my earlier statement. The links are really not to UC Berkeley sites and that is all I said. I am locking this thread because I do not care to engage in name calling on this forum. You can address any complaints to Dr. Leo who actually owns the forum.
