Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that my Mom passed away Sunday, July 15th. She fought so hard, but as we all know, GBM's are beasts. She never experienced any pain and went peacefully in her sleep with my husband and I holding her hands. I already miss her sooo much, but I know she's in a better place. I know that now she is walking, running, laughing and doing it all with a beautiful head of hair.

Dear Roxanne,
so sorry to hear your sad news. I know just how you feel, my mum passed away four months ago yesterday.
Right now nothing will make sense and you will feel so empty without her.
However with love and support from your family I can assure you that life will be great and your mum will be watching over you. I like to think that my mum is in a beautiful garden somewhere, but on a sunny day she is the gentle breeze blowing through the trees.
You will be in my thoughts at this terrible time, stay in touch. All my love xxx Jenny. |

Oh Roxanne, my heart is breaking for you!!! Tears are literally running down my face as I try to type  . GBM's are definitely beasts. If there is any positive side to them it is that people (like your mother and mine) do usually die in peace, in their sleep, and with relatively no pain. I was with my father holding my mother's hands when she died. I don't think my father realized what was really happening until the last minutes. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your point of view, I was very much aware of what was happening. My mother died almost 9 years ago but I can still remember it as if it happened just yesterday.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Roxanne.

Roxanne, I am so sorry for your loss, you are right GBM's are beasts and destroy people. This disease is my worst nightmare. I wish you much strength, hold onto the memories and feel peaceful knowing that her spirit is free.

Roxanne,
I am with you as you are grieving. I am glad you were able to be with her and that her passing was peaceful. Know that we will continue to be here for you as you go through this awful time. 7/28 marks the 2 year point that my dad was diagnosed--he's been gone for over a year. I am still grieving. Some days better than others. the dates likes these are probably the most acute. My heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts in prayers.

Dear Roxanne, Sorry to hear you lost your Mum to brain cancer. You must surround yourself with loved ones - family & friends. They will help you to recover over time. The pain of your loss must be soooo raw. Mum's are such a special breed in our lives and on this Earth. Take your time now, spend time on yourself & don't push or judge yourself too harshly. Your Mum was unique & a special gift in yr life. Yr pain & sadness will lessen over time. As I said, take yr time with the grieving process. I loved yr analogy regarding yr Mum's beautiful hair. | Hi Roxanne, I'm so sorry to hear your Mum lost her battle with the beast (GBM). You paint a very lovely picture of where your Mum is now (along with her beautiful hair). Knowing and believing this does wonders to your heart and soul. There is no substitute to having our loved ones here with us, but to know that they are out there watching over us and being in a lovely place helps our greiving in some small way.
