I dont understand why it would matter but she asked me if I have anal sex often, shes someone I know and felt ashamed so I lied and told her never, this was today in the AM, she asked me that after she did a manual exam so im wondering how exactly she would know and more important should I call her up and tell her yeah me and my husband do practice this form of sex?

I feel like a real big idiot now.

Or is this a regular question?

She did do a digital exam after.

Very confused

I think brutal honesty with your Onc is a must. If you want to beat this monster, you need to tell all.

Hi Blondiebit, I totally agree with Julia... you should have answered your oncologist's questions honestly... especially since it involves colon cancer or rectal cancer (you did not specify what cancer you have). That IS a rather standard question.

However, I don't think you need to make a special call or appointment just to correct this misinformation. If the question ever arises again, simply confess that initially you were embarrassed to tell the truth and to discuss your sexual life even with your doctor. Take that approach and almost anyone in the medical profession will understand.
