Hi, Sad
I have this spot (under my arm near my arm pit) that I noticed in december. It didn't grow and I tried tearing it off in january with my nails (lol I will never attempt anything stupid like that again) and made it bleed buy it healed and became as it was shortly after. I'm woried and my mom doesn't know what it is. I'm supposed to see a doctor this weekend buy I want to be shure from the most sources possible if it could be a basal cell cancer. I made research but the bump kinda looks like one pic I saw on the net but most were diffrent. The bump I have is about 3mm in diameter and at it's peak stiking out of the skin at about 1mm of height. I want the most opinions on weather you think it is or isn't a skin cancer. If you know what it is, I would like you to advise me on what the bump could be. By the way, I'm 15 1/2 years old.
Thanks in advance.
Wink

Going crazy huh??? not knowing is the worst... Hang in there, the sooner you find out what this is, the better... In my opinion (i am not a doc, just a patient with lots of problems with basal cell) basal cell will appear in areas where you had the most sun exposure... unless you went around with your arms folded on your head, you could rule that one out...15 year olds get lumps and bumps in all different places, due to oil glands, in grown hairs etc...picking at any thing long enough will aggravate it and cause a scar.... Rolling Eyes Be brave and hope for the best.... I will say a prayer for you... hang tough o.k.!!! kiwigal

Hi, I just saw this post, I know it's kind of old, but if you haven't gotten that checked on yet, do.

This looks JUST like a bump i have beneath my arm. It was cancerous and was removed and it has just returned. I advised taking it pretty seriously.

not to be morbid or scary... these things just matter a lot.

Good luck.

spy_of_chaos if you're still out there, I would definatley have it checked out and if at all possible biopsied. Just ignore you're age. I've never been in a tanning bed in my life and I don't tan outside. I had a melanoma come up on me when I was 16 and waited three years before I had it removed. I went to my primary doc and he thought it was nothing and sent me on my way. I finally went back and he sent me to a dermatologist who also thought it was nothing but did a biopsy and it was melanoma. I have a lot of tests now to check for metastasis and I'm afraid I may have waited too long. Please have it checked out just in case.
