Any advice would be greatly recieved..

Hi I am looking for some advice, I have been unwell for sometime now and I will be as brief as I can so I dont send u all asleep!!!!

First of all 2 yrs ago I started to get really breathless and had a chesty cough which would not go. I went to GP who sent me for an xray as i have had pneumonia in the past, anyway the results showed a mass and a thickened bronichal wall and over expanded lungs. I was put on strong antibiotics and was then sent to a chest specialist whom ordered a CT scan of my lungs to check for any lung cancers or suchlike.

By the time the appt came through, the mass had gone so they assumed it was a bad infection - after 7 lots of antibiotics the cough did go away but ive been left with the breathlessness.

I havent been 'right' since the cough, my weight has dropped from 8 and a half stone to 6 stone 10, which i am now but its still dropping..

Considering im 5ft 8 tall, I look more emaciated than posh spice!!! My appetatite is good and I sleep well but I literally drag myself around I am that exhausted. I have recently had an MRI scan as I had been having dizzy spells and numbness in my legs but the results arent in yet. I have a rash on my lower leg which refuses to disappear even with the use of the strongest steriod creams. The only other thing that is causing me problems is the excessive sweating!! Its awful im constantly dripping like im in a suauna!

My blood work shows im anaemic and my lymphocyte counts keep coming back abnormal to which my GP suggested he will have investigated but not until after my MRI results are in. What do they mean?

DOes anyone have any opinion? Im soo sick of people telling me how ill i look and not knowing why i feel so ill all the time!

Hi Lindsey,

I am so sorry that you are having such trouble in finding out what is wrong with you! I do not know either. I do not even know if the symptoms you have are related to each other or related to cancer. All I can do is to encourage you to hang in there, continue to see your doctor(s), and to ask your questions to your medical team. If you do not feel like they are responding, you can seek a second opinion.
