I posted this on someone else's thread, but didn't know if you'd go back into that one since you answered.
My bio is at the bottom and on my path report and my surgeon also telling me, they found no vascular invasion. He said it wasn't a reliable test and that just because they didn't see cancer cells in the blood vessels in my breast during the mastectomy, didn't mean it wasn't there. Everyone else's I've seen seems to always be postive for vascular invasion especially if nodes are involved. Is it the slightest bit possible that somehow mine stayed in the breast and nodes and didn't get into my blood stream? I was treated agressively of course and I pray that I don't ever have to hear those words, BC again, but just curious if it's a possiblity. I was "high risk" according to my onco because of me being "young" and stage III.
Thanks
Nancy

Hello

Since the tumor was already able to reach the lymphnodes, it seems very aggressive, and that makes it likely that it gained access to the bloodstream as well. But it is impossible to tell if the disease is beyond the lymphnodes. You are already getting maximal therapy, which is exactly what you need.

best regards,
Leo
