What are the ways for searching anti- cancer medications?

Radoslav, what cancer are you interested in? Most cancers there is no known way to prevent because there is no known cause. Others, there are some rather strong links between cause and effect.

1. Don't smoke
2. Use sun blocker when outdoors (not just at the beach)
3. Avoid radiation as much as possible
4. Avoid contact with certain chemical (follow the label instructions)

Those are the ones that come to my mind as having the strongest causal effect of cancer. Of course, others would add many other things to this list, some legit some without solid scientific merit.

I actually didn't mean how to prevent from cancer, but how do scientists try to find a cure for cancer.
What I know for now is from an old book (1982) of experimental oncology where are searched anti- cancer medications from extracts from herbs and animals.
Another "source" was described from search in poisions, microorganisms excrets.

This is even more complex than your original question and probably would take a book to describe all the methods used. Cancer research is a lengthy process that can begin at any number of points. I know this is not much of a help to you, but I don't think anyone can answer your question. Maybe one of the doctors can give you a name of a book where you can find your answer.

There are literally hundreds of ways to finds anti-cancer agents. Many of the new ways essentially find molecular targets and then find molecules or agents to bind to these targets. Probably the most advanced techniques are being patented or secretly used by pharma companies.

I mean mushrooms. However the only word for mushroom that I know is fungi that is why I wrote it. Here is the list with the corrected mistake.
