My exwife and kids mother has had very bad hives for about a year, she was just diagnosed with Wells Syndrom, she's #81 aparently. She has a melenoma that is over 1mm thick and beyound the boundries of the biopsy. She has been on steroids for 2 months for the hives and has lost 44lbs on them, this in itself is troubling. Exhausted, itchy, and her lymph nodes are swollen and hard. So they are cutting out her skin cancer and removing at least one node. I guess it's the hives and weight loss that concern me beyound the emmidiate evidence.

Am prepared for the worst hoping for the best, still care deeply for her well being and of course that of my children. Any experiance strength and hope shared would be greatly appreciated.

Oakum, I am so very sorry to hear about your exwife's condition. I have never heard of Wells Syndom. Melanoma's I know much too well having had a father-in-law who had them. I would think the the steroids would help both with the hives and the weight loss. Has she talked with her doctors specifically about those two issues that seem to be so troubling? If not, I encourage her to do so.

It does sound like the two of you are still very close and that is good... at least for the kids sake.

Best wishes,
