my ex has had sores in the mouth and blisters on his lips as a side effect of chemo (Xeloda) - the dr gave him VALTREX pills and they worked well.

My husband used Biotene mouthwash up to four times a day to help with the mouth sores from chemo. There was also a "swish and swallow" prescription he used called Nystatin oral suspension. I sure hope that's the right name. Ask the doc. Also, after checking with the doc, add B-50 to his vitamins. The B50 was what really made a big difference for my husband and was info given us by the chemo nurses.

Good luck and God bless.
