Hi, my name is Ryan, and for over 2 months now I've had some somewhat alarming symptoms that I'm a bit concerned about. I've been experiencing chronic dizziness, headaches, double vision and nausea, and it's definitely beginning to impede on my daily function. I've been to the GP numerous times and he tested me for a whole slew of basic things like anemia, which all came back negative. In the meantime, I've also seen my optometrist, who says my eyes are fine. My GP is now recommending me to both an ophthalmologist and a neurologist. He doesn't think it's a brain tumor because I had an MRI 15 months ago for what turned out to be a bad sinus infection, and he says that a tumor probably couldn't have grown in that time. Despite his evaluation, I'm particularly curious to know if this is indeed true, that a tumor couldn't have grown in 15 months? It's just worrisome that these symptoms are so unusual and noticeable. I tried looking information up online, but couldn't find anything about how quickly they could potentially grow. Any information about the time span of tumor growth would be appreciated. Smile

Thanks,
Ryan

Expect3250,
Although it is unlikely a tumor has grown over the past 15mo, it is possible for a tumor to be too small to be seen and now be visible on MRI. Brain tumor or any tumors for this matter can grow at different rates, even among the same tumor type. Some tumors can be slow growing and then for some reason begin to grow rapidly. If your other workup is negative, an MRI could be considered. Continue working with you medical team to look for an answer. Best wishes,
