My husband has been very ill for months and has had every test. There are some suspicious results, but no specific malignancy [tumour] has been found. So the doctors are calling it 'Carcinoid Syndrome'. They say it's like finding a needle in a haystack. So.... do we wait until something pops up? Question

As I have Breast Cancer mets [What have we been up to?] I know how long it can take to have a firm result. We have studied up on the condition on the net so it would be interesting to hear from those of you who may experienced it first hand. Confused

Carcinoid tumors can cause multiple symptoms and often present months before a tumor can be found. I'm not sure why they feel that he has carcinoid syndrome versus another diagnosis. Your story though is not unusual for carinoid tumors or other types of tumors.
