Hello

My turn to ask questions Smile

I am planning to implement a tool that would give users the ability to:
- have their own blog here on CF
- post their history, maybe even pictures
- see news from other sources

There would also be an area of information where I publish stuff there.

Would you be interested in such additions ? I think that would be unique and could bring the community closer...

Comments more than welcome Smile

Leo

Yes Leo - I think these would be great additions to an already excellent site. (Can I just ask you what a "blog" is?.....not too computer-literate, as you can see).
When you talk of publishing, do you mean you would put up information which has recently been published in scientific and medical journals/ at conferences about various treatments etc? That would be a brilliant addition.
Thank you for all your time and attention.
You're doing a great job!!

Sam Very Happy

Dear Dr. Leo,

I think it sounds like fun. I'd be willing to post a few pics and I'd love to see others' pics, also (you included, Dr. Leo.) LOL No one should be shy.

Like Sam, I don't know much about blogs. Could you explain that? I have no idea what kind of blog I could have? Confused

I thought The Lounge was for getting to know each other a little better, but it seems not many want to go over there. I did make an effort.

Thanks, Dr. Leo, for all your help and efforts. Smile

Hugs,

Margie

Hi

Well, given the positive feedback, I will post the link here for you guys. When you sign up, please use the same login as in the forums, as this will make it easier for all.

About a blog, it is a website where one (or multiple people) post their thoughts, links, essays, or just about anything that comes to mind. It is a space where an individual person can publish stuff. More about blogs here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog

The link is: www.cancerforums.net/cancer

I will need to approve each new member, but I will approve everyone and we will see how it goes. It will be a preview version of the website, but we will improve it together.

regards,
Leo

Leo, I really like the staging information. It is really helpful to anyone who is trying to decypher a pathology report. Thanks for this helpful addition to the board. Lauri

Hi Leo,
The new site wouldn't accept my user name and password?
I have a question since I couldn't post it there. I know I was dx T3, N1, M0, but the P ones are foreign to me. Is that something in the last several years they are checking for or is it probably in my path report, but the TNM were the main ones? I'm lost....... like that is a shock.... lol

Hello

About the site, you havo to request a new account by clicking on "create new account". The systems are separate from these forums, that's why.

Anyway, the p stands for pathological. So after surgery you can say that your stage is pTxNxMx, since the staging was done on the pathology specimen obtained during surgery.

regards,
Leo

Dr Leo,

I visited the new site and followed the directions to create account, was emailed a new password, but it's been 3 days and it still won't recognise the log in. Is it because it's still "pending approval", and if so how long does approval take?

Thanks!

DiO

Sorry, the approval means I have to authorize. I just have been too busy these last days. I'll do that right away.
