I am new to the forum and have been reading up a few of the threads. I have to say you are very supportive of people on here and i would like to say that it is very heartning to see.

I am here because like yourselves i have someone in my family suffering with cancer.

My mother was diagnosed with Skin cancer of the nose last year and received radiotherepy for it. She was given the all clear in Jan this year.

But things have started to go wrong since then. In Feb she was having pains in the bowel area and has just had her CT scan done last week.
She was given her results today and it is what we feared. Pancreatic cancer. I do not know what stage she has yet as she is seeing the consultant on monday.

It has totally caved in my world but i know i have to be strong for my father. I haven't yet told him i am on the list to go to the gulf as i think this would be to much to take at the moment.

All i can really say is thankyou to the people on here for posting their personal accounts and it has given me some direction as to what to expect.
