Hi, I've had this swollen lymph node in my groin for maybe 2 years or so. It's been the same size for as long as i can remember. It's not perfectly round, it almost has some points on it. It's about 1/4 - 1/2 of an inch. It is pretty hard. It feels connected, I can not roll it or anything like that. It has never hurt, and I have not had any of the other symptoms of Lymphoma. Also, cancer does not run in my family as far as I know.

From everything I've read, it sounds like lymphoma. I guess my main question is, could I have had it for 2 years and still be as healthy as I am (or think I am). Has anyone had a similar experience ? I know I shouldn't put off going to the docs, but I have no insurance.
Thank you for your time

Yes, many times we can go on with our daily lives and not know we have cancer/lymphoma, as it was in my case. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage IV-B and could have had it for up to two years, myself. The B symptoms mimic the flu and many of us let it go as such. Additionally, cancer does not run in my family either and these days, unfortunately, anyone can be diagnosed with cancer regardless of family history

I know not having insurance is a problem. Have you tried applying for assistance or checking cancer centers to see if they can help you. Sometimes, it is possible for them to offer some support. Additionally, you may also inquire about clinical trials if it is confirmed that you have some type of cancer. I hope you find a way to see a doctor for this to find out what you have. Although lymphoma is mostly slow growing, it's best not to take too many chances and wait.

Best Wishes,

Anne
