I would like some information on blood work if anyone can assist me. Is there any way to tell from blood work results if B Cell Lymphoma is present in a body for diagnosis purposes? My husband died 2 weeks after
diagnosedand I was going back over all his blood work for 3 years and there are alot of abnormal results on his blood workups but I don't know what all these result categories mean. Please help if you can. I am looking for some closure to this whole ordeal. Thanks! Neutral

Hello

Establishing the diagnosis of lymphoma from blood tests is not possible, but certainly the lymphoma can cause abnormalities in blood tests. But sometimes it can be very difficult to diagnose a lymphoma.

best regards,
Leo

I am in awe. My husband was so ill with a collapsed lung shortly after 5 way heart bypass surgery and 3 years later was dead with b cell lymphoma and the only thing I can find in all his records is the abnormality of his bloodwork. None of his specialists could tell me where all his fluid came from in his chest cavity either. He had so many test and fluid extracted and everything was negative until 2 weeks before he died.
This is why I am having problems with closure. But I appreciate your responding to me Leo.
God Bless, Mo Freed

Hi MoMo,

I have learned alot from the results of my husbands blood test. I would go to internet and pull up labs and then type in the name of the test. You can get info on why a paticular test is ordered and what the normal range is. Then compare your husbands test results. For example: You could type in Hemaglobin and it will tell you what that is, what normal is, and what it usually means if its high or low. I do this on most all of my husbands lab work because his Oncologist doesnt explain much. Im sorry about your loss. I can only imagine what your going through and I hope I never find out but, I do know you can drive yourself crazy with this and unfortunatly it wont bring your husband back. I hope you find what you need but please take care of yourself. Heather
