Another beloved family member passes away, a casualty of this terrible disease. I am so sorry for your loss.

My mum is at the beginning of her battle, goodness knows what the outcome will be. I only hope I can be as strong as you have been.

My love and sympathy goes out to you and all your family at this time.

Dear Brunette,

Thank you for your lovely words.

I will be praying for you and for your Mum. I know you will be very strong - you will be strong for her!

You know that each GBM patient may react differently, some may have harder times, some may have less hard times - all what counts is that she does not have pain, so prepare yourself mentally to the main target - not to let her having pain. Ensure that the docs give her enough pain relieving drugs when it will be necessary, e.g. sufficient morphine.
I know my Mum was one of those GBM patients who had to suffer very hard times, the last 5-6 weeks were very painful for her, both physically and mentally - she was conscious of her deterioration until the last 3 days when she slipped into coma.

Speak to her and tell her how much you love her, spend as much time with chatting as much you can. Your love will help her through the hard times, that's the only thing you can do.

If it helps, share your feelings with us, and ask any questions you'd like to. I'll be there for you to listen.

All my prayers are with you and your Mum.

Hi Brunette,

I just wanted to ask how your Mum's doing. What medication/treatment is she receiving now?

Keep strong, you're both in my prayers.

Let me know if I can be of help in any ways - by sharing, listening, or whatever ways.
