Just wanted to let everyone know that Sam passed peacfully in his sleep last Monday.
We were blessed with excellent pain control til the end; for that I am most grateful.
He was home with us since the 17th of August and was alert and very much engaged in our lives.
Sam donated his affected organs to a study at Johns Hopkins which hopefully will shed some light on metastatic disease.
Peace to you all. Reenie

Thank you for keeping us up to date with regard to Sam.

There are no easy, glib words for this occasion. Loss at this level is painful, and the pain does not just go away. We grieve with you.

Reenie,

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. It was sad to read your post that Sam had passed. I want to thank you and Sam for sharing your lives with us on this board. I was able to draw a lot of information from what you offered. It helped me make sense of things when certain things weren't making sense. I hope you are ok. I hope you feel Sam's love each day. Again, I am sorry for your loss Reenie. May God bless you and continue to give you strength.

Hello, Reenie -- I am new to this board and was reading old posts when I found yours.

I am so very sorry about Sam. You and he tried so hard to extend his life and give those days beauty and love.

I'm glad he died peacefully. I pray you will find peace as well. While death comes to those we love, death really is about the living, those of us left behind.

Thanks for allowing us to share your pain. Pat
