A relative of mine has Brain Cancer, very early stage 4 and had a complete remove of the tumor several months ago.

Next was radiation and Temodar and the tumor has shrunk a bit, the portion that was left after surgery. Although the dr did remove all of it, you can't ever remove completely.

The dr will have 1 Cyber knife radiation treatment, as well as temodar in a 6 month cycle.

Is it normal after radiation to still have some tumor left? Does this indicate the treatment is working or not working?

Having to have more radiation in the form of the Cyber knife - similiar to a Gamma knife, is this a negative sign or just another way to try to eliminate the whole tumor?

The tumor was removed in Late Dec of 05.

I am just trying to understand the positive and negative signs of treatment.

thanks
