I live in CA, and I've been to 3 different hospital facilities within my town that have MRI machines and two of them I can handle except the one MRI that I recently went in for was probably the worst. The Kaiser facility is only 5mi away from my home, but the two UC facilities are like 15mi away. The recent MRI at the third UC facility is a little farther than the second and its much harder to getting to because there's a lot of traffic and very busy there. Anyways, I must've had at least 10 or more MRI's within a 4yr period and I know all the sounds pretty well like a song but the recent MRI was a total nightmare. Usually the sounds are 5 sec to 7 sec long, but this one machine I sat in, one sound lasted for at least 15-20min long! It totally made me go nuts! It was a long noise that went like "Eeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr" for I don't know how long but felt like forever. Shocked Mad My next MRI is coming up I think in the next 6th month or so but I told my BMT doctor to request for the regular facility that I usually go to closer to where I live.

However, in the end after its all done and over, I just love hearing those three words of relief when the doctor informs me the results of the MRI, "It looks good!" Very Happy
