Okay, tonight my father got a call from his doctor, telling him to meet him at the hospital.

My mother just told me before she left for work about his symptoms. He had a swelling in his side, a cough since october, and the doctor said that the swelling was his spleen and that his white blood cell count was high.
The doctor also said something regarding Lukemia and my father has has weight loss.

I did some online research and it sounds like the chronic stage of Lukemia.

I need to know his chances. My mother was stressing out on her way to work, but I tried to reassure her with what info I found.

Now I'm sitting here trying to find out his chance of survival while the medical dictionaries are annoyingly vague.

Can anyone tell me what kind of chance he has. Please, don't try to reassure me, I stretched the truth a LOT for my mother, but I need to know the cold hard facts.
