|
|
Every morning I woke up around 5am from the pain on an small accute location on my back. The pain doesn't feel muscle-related. I'm concerned that if the pain is coming from the rear of the lung.
My grand mother passed away due to lung cancer. She never smoked, but suffered from second-hand smoking as my grand father was a heavy smoker. I vaguely remember she had similar symptoms as what I'm having now. I know that coughing and breathelessness are the main symptoms of lung cancer, but when my grand mother was diagnosed with it, she never had these symptoms.
I went to see a doctor recently and he couldn't discover anything, so he referred me to do a number of scans next week.
Could this accute pain on my upper back (rear of my lung) be a symptom of lung cancer? I'm very concerned because my husband is a smoker, and I'm afraid that history will repeat itself...
Please help! |

Dear Maple~
I can't give you any info that you are looking for but simply wanted to wish you well~ obviously you have done the right thing in seeing your doc about the pain to investigate further.
Try not to worry too much~ as I am sure you know~ it could turn out to be one of many things causing the acute pain~ hopefully something that is treatable and easy to beat.
all the best! |

Hello
I agree that you've done the right thing by seeing a doctor. Let's wait for results. Try not to assume it is cancer. Most commonly neck pains are related to musculoskeletal issues such as sprains, hernias and such.
