My mum has recently been diagnose with metastatic pulmonary endometrial cancer. She is undergoing chemotherapy. She was originally diagnosed two years ago, and lung metastasis detected four months ago. While the doctors are not optimistic about this type of cancer, she is also incredibly healthy and young. Are there any statistics on survivorship?

Hi Susan,

I'm not sure how to move your post to the Endometrial Cancer Forum where you could get more answers. I'm sure someone who can will do that and you'll start getting replies and hopefully answers that can help you. If it's anything like Breast Cancer, ladies have done well with Stage IV with mets to their lungs, liver etc. for many years and still stable. I pray your mom is able to get there too.

Hi Susan,
I was first diagonized in june 2005 with a late stage 4A uterine cancer, went through a total hysteractomy, and 6 month of chemo......last year the cancer came back and have been diaogininzed with recurrent and metastatic uterine cancer....my last ct scan shows tumors spread to peritonium, serosal liver disease and a tumor in the pelvic.......am currently on chemo with taxol for the last 12 months....my oncologist said that the taxol is working, the tumors are under control so i should continue chemo as long as my body can take it....i feel strong and can move around and go about my with my life, however, i don't know what my future lies ahead.

I pray for your good health....

Do you know of anyone who is in my situation who can provide me with more guidance? I would like to know if a surgery can be done again to remove the tumors, my oncologist has refused me though.
