How can I tell if he has Leukemia? What is this ?

I have got a boyfriend who told me that he has got leukemia. As he is in Taiwan and I am in Singapore, I can't tell from his voice whether it's true or not. That was 3 months ago when he told me about it.

Yesterday, he came to Singapore for some work purposes and he still looked exactly the same. A little but normal weight loss, no hair loss, no appetite loss.

Sometimes he tell me about his chemo or some stuff he do to try to cure his leukemia and they sound convincing. I checked the web and the things he told me were accurate. He is still jovial, cheery but cold towards me. I don't know if he really has leukemia, how can I test him? Is there any specific question I can ask which might catch some loopholes?

Recently my friend proposed to pretend to be a leukemia patient and I can introduce him to my boyfriend. If I want to do this, I will need to feed my friend with lots of info about leukemia.

I am really confuse and sad about all these. Any help will be so much appreciated! Thanks!
