My aunt passed away last Friday evening. She was a beautiful vibrant woman who fought this terrible cancer with every ounce of strength she had. She was 51 yrs old and was diagnosed in March 2006. I will miss her terribly - she was my everything.
I would like to say to others that are going to be faced with a similar situation, just say and do all the things you want to. I am drawing comfort from knowing that I did and said as much as I wanted to. I have no regrets. When the time came it was mercifully quick - 2 days - she was driving a car on the Wednesday. It sounds unbelievable. And still feels unbelievable.
The only regret I do have is for her and that is that she never saw her new granddaughter who was born the following day - her daughter going into labour the following morning.

As a Londoner who is not a religious person I would like to say your auntie will be looking down and loving every moment with the new child. As gutted as she may be not to be there with you I am sure she is with you for now and forever. A lesson I have learnt that gone is not forgotten. Good luck in the future
