Hello, Sorry to bother you but I really could do with some advice. I have suffered with headaches and migraines for a few years now but the headaches seemed to have changed, I now can get about three headaches a day, which may or may not need pain killers. I often wake with a headache in the morning and find that when I get headaches/migraines I can only lay on my left side or the pain is too intense. Plus walking bending forward and straining make it worse when it is a bad headache. I have recently developed blurred vision and three of my peripheral vision tests have come back abnormal. I have also developed a burning in my leg slight weakness down my left side and nausea. As I have CFS and Fibromyalgia the doctors seem to put everything down to that but I am not 100% convinced. I also get dizzy, tinnitus but have had these symptoms for a long time. My doctor done tests like getting me to walk on my heals and toes, which I could not do, any idea what that is about? My Doctor sent me to see a neurologist but he thought that it was down to my other illness; He did recognise that I had weakness but not total weakness and said he did not think it was a neurological problem.
I had a MRI about 9 months ago but it concentrated on my ear as tinnitus is worse in left ear, most of my symptoms are on my left. Would an MRI have picked up a brain tumour if they were only looking in my left ear? My memory has also got really bad and sometime I just forget words. I am wondering if it could be a brain tumour. How long can you have one before you know? I am driving my self mad looking on the internet but I get scared especially with new blurry vision symptom which is intermittent. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
I am in the UK so rely on NHS

Hi butterflyhugzs, I am very sorry about your continued health problems. It does not sound like cancer of the brain. Even if the doctor was mainly doing the MRI to check for problems in the ear, the MRI would also shown your brain. If there as a problem with your brain, it would have shown up... assuming that it was large enough to cause headaches.

Continue to work with your medical team. They are better able to diagnose your case.

Best wishes,
