Hi Leonna, I know that it sounds bad. However, it might be anything. Did your neurologist say what kind of doctor he would be consulting with? I have had many MRIs and I always called within 48 hours for my results. If they did not have them, I would call again in 48 hours and so on. Now the doctor I see has an MRI of his own and I get the results within hours (I usually have the MRI in the morning and the doctor's appointment that afternoon). However, after my cancer recurred in 2005, it did take a long time for me to find out the answer to: "what is next?" I knew that the cancer was back but the doctors had to consult with eachother to come up with the best treatment plan for me. That lasted from July until October... with me calling weekly. Although the waiting is very hard, I did learn something: If my life were really in danger, the doctors would have me in the hospital at once. In other words, I do not think your life is in danger but I understand the frustation you must feel! Keep us posted. I will be thinking and praying for you.
By the way, your symptoms do not sound like brain cancer but only your doctor (after a biopsy and many more cosultations) can diagnose you. _________________ Jim

Leonna, I can sympathize with you. There are days when I cannot sleep (although all my medication comes with they warning "My cause drowsiness")
and then there are days when I just to not want to get out of bed and face another day of uncertainty. I am sorry for you because you did not get the letter you expected to receive. Usually, I prefer to know what is happening rather than living in the darkness of not knowing. _________________ Jim

it is the not knowing, well part of it, its the thought that something is probley in my brain, and i dont know what it is. i feel sick just thinking about it. I am sorry for posting so much on this forum when it isnt offical that i have a tumor, but i didnt know where else to go.
As i have said,as soon as the headachs and everything else started,i had a feeling i had a tumor, and i just couldnt shake it,i still cant. |

Leonna, don't feel sorry for posting. It is understandable that you are concerned. Not knowing is a terrible stage to be in. We are here for you. Let us know how you are doing and start keeping a list of questions you want to ask your medical team. _________________ Jim
