Hello,
Feels good to be here!!
My wife, Vaishali was diagnosed with Breast cancer, a month after the birth of our second daughter. The gynaec in India, mistook the lump as a milk knot, and finally when we had it right, she was in stage 3. We had the mastectomy done, and there were 3 runds of Epirubicin (hope i have spelled it right) prior to the surgery. The surgery was followed with another dose of Epirubicin and then followed by 6 does of DoceTaxel(Taxotere). We were glad to get over with the chemos, and were preparing ourselves for radiation, when lesions were found in her liver. The Doctor says, that inspite of the top of the class dose of taxo, if the cancer is striking back then another round of chemo, may not be of any use. In short he says, allopathy may not have more to offer her.
There is a Homeopathic Doctor who is fairly confident of arresting the cancer growth, and we are thinking of getting over with allopathy and move to Homeopathy.
We are in double minds as if we start with Homeopathy then we cannot have interference form allopathy. At the same time, allopathy is not offering any promises but another round of chemo, and the Docotr says there is very little chance of success.
What do I do, where do I go / Anybody, with any experience in this? has anybody tried Homeopathy at all? I will very much appreciate your inputs.
Thanks and good luck to you all.
Warmest regards
Vinayak |

Dear Vinayak
Thanks for joining our community. Since the cancer has started as a breast cancer, I will move your post to the Breast Cancer area where it may be better appreciated.
About your question, I personally do not have any experiences with homeopathic treatment for anything. I am sure some ladies in the forum have.
Feel free to post here, we are glad to try to help as much as we can.
best regards,

Welcome, Vinayak, We are getting to be a real intenational community on this site. Sadly, breast cancer knows no ethnic or geographic boundaries.
I have no expertise with homeopathic treatments. Most of the women I know have used conventional chemo therapy. There are a number of drug cocktails being used here in the United States, but I do not know if they are available in India. Nor, do I know about your access to choices in medical providers. I would certainly hope you could find a doctor willing to go the extra distance in finding treatments for your wife. I had a good friend who survived five years after being diagnosed at Stage IV. So, I would hope there might be help for your wife. Dr. Leo has assembled some good resources here for you to explore. Another useful web site is www.imaginis.com. Sending warm wishes and prayers for your wife, Lauri _________________ Diagnosed 4/11/1996

I also have no personal experience with homeopathic treatments but I did have a friend that had colon cancer and docs were giving her less than 2 years to live. She went the homeopathic route and did tremendously well. It is now 10 years later and she is doing great. She swears by the homeopathic doc. I do know that she had to travel to some other country to get some of her treatments. That's really all I know about it, sorry I cannot be of more help to you. _________________ Shelly
