Hi, Im 17years of age, and these past 2 years i've been prone into getting quite alot of headaches, this last 2months the headache started again, but alot more worser than before. My vision was blury my eyes were sensitive to light and feeling very tired. My doctor has told me, the symptoms i have been getting are migrane symptoms, now i have been diagnosed as a migrane sufferer.
2 days ago i started to have my attack again, my head becomes more sensitive after i've had an attack, and it last's for a nearly a week. Just yesterday i asked my mum to softly massage my head as it was hurting, she was pressing it slowly and she felt a lump on my head and near my neck, it is quite a big lump, but it isn't painful, i could also feel the lump myself, this is the first time i knew i had a lump, so i aint sure how long it has been there for. I told her i have a lump on the right side of my head also, i've known about that for a long time now, but i didn't think nothing to it, as it aint been discomfort to me, so i thought it was just normal. My mum is getting quite concerned with my lumps on my head, as my step dad has recently been diagnosed with cancer on the back of his head and mouth, and she told me the lump i have got is the same as my step dad's. I just wanted to know what did you think this may be? and if anyone else has had any lumps on their heads which are painless also. I am going to make a doctors appointment later this week, and hopefully find out more information on it also, but anyone with similar problems, or knows more information on this, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Justina and welcome to the CancerForums. I am glad to hear that you have already done the most important thing you can do right now... scheduled an appointment with your doctor. She/He is the best source of information for you and the only one who can tell you what this lump is. Of course, you should also be talking with your parents about any worries you have. We are here to offer support to you and information that might help you once a diagnosis is made. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

justina,
Agree with Brainman. See your physician and have a workup done which may include imaging and/or a biopsy. Good luck.

Oh yeah, i thought i'd also say this last week also i have been experiencing alot of hotness on my face (hot flushes) all of a sudden my face is burning and i have to stand outside in the cold wind to cool myself down, it's only on the face and my neck part and last for 5-10mins. It's happened once - twice a day so far this week. I'm not sure if this may have anything to do with my lumps or anything but i will also let the doctor know when i see him.
