My mother was dianosed with OC in Jan 07, had surgery and just received her 4th round of chemo. Her starting ca125 was 200, then 119 and after 3rd it has gone up to 195. Should we be concerned at this point with the increase, or wait until her 6th round (as her onco said)?

mary1,
Usually, to make a trend requires three values in the same direction. If her CA125 was 1000 then one could make a better conclusion. However with 200, 119, and 195 it's much harder. Thus waiting for the next one seems reasonable.

Hey Mary,

I do not know enough to be helpful with why it went back up but I would try not to worry yourself sick. I know it is hard...

keep logging her results so you have everything in front of you. God Bless.

love,
megan
