I need some help

Hi All:

My older sister who is 39 was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in February. She has gone through chemo, but the cancer has now spread to her stomach lining. She is now sleeping with her eyes open. Not to be morbid but does this mean the end is near? My mother who is living with her seems to think so. I am flying out to see her on Monday, but, I hope I am not too late. Has anyone elses family members or loved ones seen this type of behavior?

Hello Christine,
My brother is experiencing his final days of his battle with this horrible disease. Know knowing when the end would come drove me nuts. Someone led me to this website www.craigscause.cawhatiscancer.html#final Just click on the final stages part. My brother is 54 and had been on chemo for almost a year and a half. He is pretty out of it now and just likes to have his loved ones around him and some music. He is not really talking much but smiles when we talk about the good times we shared. He is very concerned with staying calm so we are trying to keep the mood pretty light. My sister in law did not want hospice and feels safer in the hospital and with all of the complications I know that this is for the best.
