Hi Smurf - no need to apologise. We do understand how difficult it is for someone in your position.
Have you accessed this site? http://www.riprap.org.uk/default.asp?eid=1
Also, does your Nan have a Macmillan Nurse? If so, go and talk to her/him. Even if she hasn't, the Macmillan or the Marie Curie organisations are there to advise and help. Helping relatives is part of their job.
Keep talking to us! |

Hi, Smurf:
It is a good thing that you reach out to people in this sad and hard time in your life. I have been a member of this forum for only a short while but find that folks are kind and very supportive. Does your nan's doctor offer any kind of conseling for family members? Sometimes talking face-to-face with a person is hard and the threat of uncontrolled emotions scary. You may not believe it now, but you will survive this suffering. Don't wait to tell your nan how very much you value her as a person and as a loved one.
Best,
Jessica |

True. I wrote to my dad alot near the final stages...not too scare him, just to tell him how proud i was to have him as my dad.
I tried to be subtle, so it wasnt too out of character.
I always told him i loved him anyway, we were pretty open as father and son and unafraid to show our emotions.
Best of luck to you,i pray you find all the strength you need. _________________ Time is a virtue, spend it wisely. |
