hi, please will someone please adivse me exactly how long it is after having lumps removed from my breast it will be before i can lift things with my arm closet to my breast. kind regards escort123

I do not have a specific answer to your question. I imagine that it is different from one case to another. I suggest contacting your doctor and asking him/her.

Hi Escort. You should not try to lift anything over 5-10 pounds for at least 2-3 weeks, especially if you have had lymph nodes removed. Lifting may cause fluid to build up into the tissues or bleeding into the tissues, which could cause hematoma or seroma. Take it easy for a while. Don't forget to do your arm exercises so as not to bing on "frozen shoulder". Best to you.
