Hello Folks
Just back from a wonderful week at Mums
She is being so brave although she looks very frail.
Mum wanted us to let her do things as much as possible while she still can.She is falling asleep a little and has started to get a bit wobbly but she seems to be coping at the moment.
We came home to give mum and dad some quality time together before things take a turn for the worse!
Dad has promised to get in touch as soon as mum is not able to get out of bed so I can go and care for her
She loved us all being there although it was a strain on her... but she kept smiling!
A member of the family will be there until the time comes when she needs constant care..
My sister and I spent time sorting out all the family photos,had a lot of laughs and a few tears. We put them all in gift bags with a card and message from Mum which said "You have given me so many memories over the past years... now is the time to hand them back to you"...Mum will give them to the family members when they visit. Mum said it was so nice for us to do this and it saved her the job of sorting through them all....
Mum has been busy sorting out all the funeral arrangements,documents,insurance etc..she said she wanted to do it herself as not to upset anyone...thats my mum!!
She told us that she is not afraid to die and that she wants do do as much as she can as to ease the strain on us!
She is such an angel
will keep you up to date as things develop
