Hello everyone, I'm taking my mom on Wed for a consultation with the radiologist and was wondering if there are any important questions I should be asking. My mom's cancer is lower esophagus of the ge junction and has spread to distant lymph nodes. Her pet scan and cat scans showed significant reduction but there is still significant amount of disease is what the oncologist said. He spoke with the surgeon who felt at this time he could not do the surgery I think because of the lymph node involvement and felt that more chemo and radiation would better her chances for the surgery. So much spinning in our minds and wanted to have some clear questions so I get some clear answers.
