Hello
I have a question. When i turned 15 or so i found a small mass on my testicular. I was instructed to wait to see if it changed, since i had no other symptoms of testicular cancer. Its been on my testicular for years. I am almost 22 years old, and it is still the exact same size and shape it has been for about 7 years or so. It hasn't grown or anything. I thought it went away a few years ago. But i just checked today and it is still there. I'm not sure what it is. But i have nothing to worry about, right? I mean, if it was serious or cancerous, wouldn't the effects be strong today? LIke the lump growing in size?
Thanks |

Hi,
The chances of this being something malignant are very low. But you should be checked by a doctor to be sure.
best regards,

I just wanted to give you some more information Leo so maybe you can tell me more about it. When I was 15 I felt something on my right testicle. I was just going to see if it ever changed shape or if i felt any more changes. Anyway, like i said time has went on, and I am almost 22, and it is the same shape and everything. I played baseball until in was 19, so I always needed physical exams from doctors. During my physical at 19 i was going to say something, but i felt down there and i didnt' feel it...i thought it was gone. HOwever, i felt down there maybe 2 weeks ago and it is still there. I've had a bunch of phsycals for baseball...and even a few times my doctor, a part of the routine examination, has checked my testicles and has said nothing. I've taken urine tests with each physical. I was just wondering with this information if you could tell me with any certainty what this might be. I phsyically feel the same as i have for the past 7 years. Of course i get a sore throat or a cough every now and then...but i've never been extremely ill. Thanks

Tom
You might have felt the epididymus which is like an attachment in the posterior side of both testicles, or maybe what is known as varicocele, sort of varices of the veins surrounding the testicles. But I can not be certain at all, but most likely you do not have anything serious, nevertheless you need to be checked.
