Since when I recognized my left eye was blurry in fall 04, my eyes have recently gotten much worse within a month. My left eye is still foggy, blurry, out of focus, and dim. my right eye is barely hanging on. II can barely see signs on the street or read words from even 4ft away. I went to see two different eye doctors and they couldn't do much to help. I asked them if laser eye surgery was possible and they both said no, and one said "It will only graft your glasses onto your eyes." I occasionally attend a support group for brain cancer survivors and there's 3 other people who also have bad eye vision from their cancers. Can Laser Eye treatment still help me or is there no hope? I'm currently a junior at a state university and when I return to classes, it's gonna be really hard for me take notes. I drink chinese soups that my mom boils for me, For daily intake that may help my vision and diet, I take vitamins and also eat the healthy veggies daily. I heard about the "See Clearly Method" but would that help? I hope that there's some cure or way to help. Confused

glasses don't help?
I have near sightedness and double vision myself and have glasses. Although, it's seems to get wose through the years.
I've never asked a doctor, but I'm thinking laser surgery would be uselss for me because it's a nerve thing..my retina, cornea, etc, are fine.
So I guess you need to ask what's the actual cause of your sight impairment and then ask a specialist if that can be treated by laser.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I wear glasses but they don't help much. I went for an eye exam and I have optic nerve damage with 20/70 vision and also tunnel vision. I asked if laser treatment would be helpful but heard that my eyes are fine, its just that my optic nerves in both my eyes are damaged and laser treatment won't help. As for optic nerve damage, I heard that scientists are doing research on it and heard good news so far. I hope they'll find a cure.

Exactly what i was thinking about the nerve damage.
There's a vision center place thing in toronto i think i had heard of that i often wonder what it would be like to get an assessment there. I'm in vancouver and my doc here said it's better just to wait until one of those docs comes out this way rather than go there. I dunno though. Might be worth it. I've never been to TO either.

Oh doi, I thought this was the canadian forum i was on that i also belong too. i didnt realize you're in california.
