A stage IV lady, with mets to the liver and brain was told by her onco not to ever use splenda. I've heard bad things about nutra sweet, my mom can't use it and I don't like it, but the only bad thing I've heard about Splenda was from the makers of Nutra sweet. I'm trying to lose weight and I live on Splenda......well in my oatmeal, cereal, popcicles etc.
They have upped my thyroid med, so maybe I can start losing some weight now, but I want my Splenda, tell me it ain't so..... lol

Nancy

In an article in 2004 published in the Annals of Oncology, the authors performed an extensive literature search not only on Splenda, but on outher artificial sweeteners as well. There is no evidence that any of these products causes of increases the risk of cancer.

Splenda is sucralose, which is a chemically modified molecule of sucrose. They have known this molecule for over 20 years.

All of us ingest some form of artificial sweetener, knowingly or not. All these internet hoaxes can really disorient the public.

best regards,
Leo
