Well,I went last Tuesday and had the LEEP procedure done.It was actually not so bad. They made my follow up appointment for July 20,but said I could call today about my results.I'm kind of in a hurry for results because I need to schedule throat surgery for sleep apnea once this is taken care of and was hoping to get it all done before my husband comes home from deployment.Well the doctors office beat me to the punch this morning. They called to tell me my results "show reason for concern" and that the doctor wants to see me Friday morning and wants me to bring my mom with me.So now I guess I'm just going to spend 3 days stressing myself silly.I will let you girls know how it goes.Hoping everybody else is doing good. Will update as soon as I know whats going on.Thanks for those who answered my previous question. _________________ Proud army wife, missing my soldier |

Went to the doctor and got my results today. He says I have 1B1 stage cancer and referred me to a Gynecological Oncologist for a hysterectomy. He says the new doctor will decide what kind of hysterectomy I need and that they will also remove lymph nodes from my pelvis to be checked. The new doctors office called me this afternoon and my appointment with him is on the 21st.Now I guess I wait some more, but I think it is better knowing what I have than just wondering and worrying. Now I'm hoping I can get in ASAP because I have to schedule throat surgery for sleep apnea yet too,and would like to get as much as possible done before my husband comes home from deployment in the beginning of September. When it rains it pours I tell you!Feels like I'm falling apart all of the sudden.Hope everybody is doing well. Thanks for letting me ramble lol! _________________ Proud army wife, missing my soldier |

Hi, thank you for sharing your situation here. My partner is also diagnosed stage 1B, she will have her hysterectomy on the 20th. Don't worry in God's grace, this stage has a very high success rate given the right operation and medication. Her doctor told her during her visit, she's very lucky since the cancer is on its earliest stage. We are also praying for her speedy recovery. I am sure your blessing is also on the way, you just have to trust Him and have faith, everything will be ok. |

thank goodness you are in an early stage. you have a very high chance of fully recovering. And i wouldn't worry about getting all the surgeries done before your husband comes home (like the throat surgery). I'm sure he would much rather have you healthy versus stressing and rushing to get all the surgeries done before he comes back. _________________ Stage 1B1 Adenosquamous Carcinoma of the Cervix.
