Hi all

I was wondering if you could please give me any advise.

I am a 22 year old female About 15 weeks ago I found a lump in my neck on the right hand side so I went to the doctors, he said if it hasn't gone away in two weeks come back I was a bit busy so went back four weeks later and he said it was still there so he sent me to see a Haematologist.
The Haematologist sent me to have some blood tests done and had a chest x-ray done yesterday i am now scheduled to have an abdomen ultasound done on Monday.
I am seeing the Haematologist again on the 15th July to get the results and to see if i need to have a biopsy done.
But the main thing that is worrying me is that I have found another lump on my neck which has come up on the opposite side its a little bit smaller than the other one but feels just as hard. I was wondering if it is common to get lumps on both sides of the neck

Thank you for reading
Smile

Hi Emilie

Sorry to hear of your worries, I know how disturbing this is. You have done the right thing in seeing a doctor, you now need to relax a bit as there is not much more you can do until you get your test results. I know this is difficult but try and keep your mind occupied elsewhere and stay away from Internet sites trying to diagnose yourself while you are waiting. Next time you see the doctor mention the new lump in your neck to him. Take heart in the fact that most enlarged nodes are not caused by cancer but by infections.

Good luck I hope your test results are negative and remember we are always here if you need us.

Thank you for your reply I will take your advise and try and stop worrying at least I find out the results of all the tests in less than two weeks so will try and put it to the back of my mind for the moment.

Thank you Smile
