Hi all,
I'm new here. This is probably going to sound so weird...

I have a Dr. appt coming up but in the meantime I'm worried. For about a month I've had a pain in my right armpit, kind of in the deepest part and the pain radiates to the point at which the inside of my right arm joins joins the side of my body, right above my right breast. Hopefully that makes sense. Anyway, the pain is sharp and comes and goes. When I take a deep breath, the pain is worse.
I've also got the very same type of sharp, comes and goes pain on the very outer edge of my left pelvic bone. If you were to put your hands on your hips like you were yelling at someone, it's right there on the left side. In both spots I can feel something but it almost seems more like tendons or something. At any rate, both spots are very painful and I'm freaked out by this.

Anyone have any input or advice?

Thanks for reading.

H, I am sorry about your health concerns. You have already taken the most important step... scheduled an appointment with your doctor.

By chance can you feel a not where the pains are? Both of the areas you describe do have lymph nodes that are close enough to the surface to be felt... especially if they are enlarged. Even if they are enlarged, there are many other causes that are more likely than cancer. Most are not life threatening.

Keep us informed.

Thanks for the quick reply! Rationally I understand that there is nothing I can do but wait for my Dr. appt. and until then it doesn't make sense to worry myself sick. But emotionally I can help but feel scared, you know? Anyway, posting here has made me feel more calm and I really appreciate the opportunity to reach out.

You are so right, H. It is one thing to know in your head that the odds are small. It is another thing to know that in the pit of your stomach. Been there many times before. Waiting can be so difficult.
