Tatyana,

All I can say is to take time. Time to be sad, time to be sore, and time to grieve. Take your time to get back into things, then.....

Kick Arse Wink and get out there and do all the things you want to.

I'm sure there will be others who can give you better addvice. Wink

*heat packs and hot water bottles, great for wind pain and cramps. Try to get up and moving as quick as you can and advised to- even if it kills- It seems to get easier the quicker you are up. It also hlps to heal and repair quicker too. Keep water up.

Then have a big glass of wine.

Few weeks before surgery I tried to be very diligent about exercising. I think it helped my recovery as I resumed working from home 5 days after my surgery. Tho' I do not recommend that at all. Still I was nervous, very nervouse - but tried to get lots and lots of rest.

Be flexible with your time after you get home. Go slooow...its ok. Dont feel bad if the house is not spotless - afterall it's all temporary.

One milestone at a time...here were my milestones post surgery at the hospital, take those fluids so they can remove the IV, try and get off the morphine (pca) and get on the vicodin as soon as possibl, get ready to eat solids, they had me walking the day after surgery, walk the hospital hallways, pass gas or they wont let you go home, at the hospital make sure the nurses help you wash and get groomed, after they remove the foley the first time try and get the bladder to work on its own, keep on walking the hospital hallways.

Once you get home...again, go slow - really it's ok. it took me a few days after I got home to have a BM. It's amazing experiencing how much the body recovers in great amounts each day.

Each day really gets better - you'll see!!! Just relax!!
