Hi all I am 39 years old. and have ovarian cancer. I had a hysterocopy done on Monday gone for a bipsy on my uterus to see if it has spread there becasue I have a thickend wall, and have had abnormal bleeding in the past. Now I want to ask since it has been 5 days about I have not heard anything about my bipsy result. The hospital told me yesterday that it is inconslusive. and they are still looking at it. You would think if my uterine was ok then the report would have been typed out already. I got watery red blood spotting last night, and feel like I have a vurus but are not shaking it. I do not have a cold, or the flu, or a sore throat. and this feeling of unwellness is persisting and not going away. so I need to know why my biopsy results have not been concuded yet? Sad I feel so terrible phsically. so does anyone else on here have or had ovarian cancer or uterine cancer? and how long did it take for your biopsy results to come back? The surgen said he will talk about a hystorecmy soon. I do not want one. It is my right ovary that has cancer, and I feel it has spread to the uterine. I have the pictures from the biosy with me and it has a large pmiple that is cherry red on top of my uterine, and red scally bits around it like it has been scratched. and my uterine cannot be scrathed bymyself. so it has large scractch marks on one quater of my uterine, plus the big dark red spot on top. so any helpfull people will be appreciaited. Thank you, Leanne

Hi Leanne and welcome,

I'm so very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Sometimes biopsy results take a little more time. I know how difficult it is to be patient at a time like this, especially when you are not feeling well. Again, I'm sorry.

May I ask why you don't want to have your uterus and ovaries removed if it will help with survival? Have you had children yet?

My mother died from Ovarian cancer and I had both of my ovaries and uterus removed in my early thirties, because I was at a much higher risk. I had all my children by that time though, so it was a no-brainer for me.

I hope things move along and you can get some resolution to the biopsy. Please call the doctor and report the bleeding and unwell feeling so they can monitor you. Feel better soon.

Keep us posted and God bless,
PBJ
