I have been researching cancer and would like to know if anyone has a link to research not connected to the Rockefeller foundations. My friend told me that they own most of the pharmacutical companies, started the American Cancer Society and American Dental Society and now a part of the Cancer Research Institute. I did find this out to be true but now would like to know if anyone knows a group doing research not connected to them.
The Cancer Research Institute started because Dr. Coley discovery about adding bacteria toxins and tumors going away. The history is on the cancer web site under history at ******** but have not found another thing on this.
I posted the following on another cancer site about working with my Dad:
Oh my word! Something came to me tonight about when I was helping my Dad with bone and brain cancer. He had a few radiation treatments on his brain and we also were giving him supplements. Dad called and told me he had a fever and his urin was brown and I called the person who sold the supplements and told them.
I then called Dad back and told him I had called and that when the immune system is working, the body will produce fever and start ridding itself of toxins. All we could figure is that the body was cleaning out the radiation. His fever was about 103. His urin was brown for two or three days. At this time, he was needing blood about every seven days. Oh I wish I had documented more. Anyway, as long as he took the supplements, he did not need the blood. Dad retired from an oil company, so it could have been stuff he was exposed too. Anyway, the fever would not be continual - it would rise only at certain times during the day.
Also, Dad felt better than he had in years - so he went fishing & driving and just said he forgot to take the supplements. But each time he would start back on the supplements, he said he would get a fever during part of the day.
Anyway, the thing that came to me tonight was the fact that since cancer is an immune disorder and a fever is the way the body rids itself of bad cells, are we setting ourselves up for things like cancer by not allowing the fever until it gets up to over 101 or high enough without harming organs? Is a fever a sign the immune system is kicking in? Since cancer is just damaged cells (which everyone has) does the fever indicate the Tcells are cleaning?
When I was young, I remember having a fever every time I was sick with flu. Some fevers were high. With my children, I never allowed a fever as I would jump to give them baby asprin.
Just some thoughts that others may have thoughts too.
Any links, research or information would be great.
Thank you.

Tumor activity in the human body can produce fever/sweating episodes. My husband had fevers/sweats before he was diagnosed. He also had high fevers following some types of chemotherapy.
I don't follow your thoughts about the Rockefeller family and research. Could you elaborate?

All through my findings of Dr. Coley's discovery, it appears the immune system is being used to distroy cancer. If you go to the history of the Cancer Research Institute - link above and read, you will see what I was talking about. I do not believe however that one needs to inject bacteria into the body myself, as my observations while caring for my Dad showed that when the supplements improved the immune system - the fever rose and he did not need blood transfusions. After starting chemo (which distroys the immune system) his body could not keep up with the attack on his body.
For some reason, in 1953 the production of Coley's bacteria was stopped. In every paper where the pharmacutical money was given, this technology was stopped. Probably because there is no money in it.
What I am saying is - since the immune system showed it could distroy cancer in the body, would it not tell people to increase their immune system and allow the fever to heal from within.
Like Coley's daughter, I do not have medical training but I have spent much time studying why Dad improved as long as we improved his immune system. Also, even though Dad had taken care of himself more than anyone else I know for years, not until he took the food supplements, did his body increase his fever. His body also started ridding something out of it in the urin that was brown. At first we thought it was from the radiation but also found out it could have been the toxins from the oil company he worked for coming out in a detox.
Below is more information I found about research.
Also, the supplement we used on Dad's mouth had live Ala Vero in it. Dad had ordered stuff through the mail for years (Dad went to Reno 10 years eariler becauce he was not feeling welll that far back) They gave him lists of bottles of stuff to take but not until we took this product that had active ala vera and put it on gause, did the cancer turn from black to new skin.
Coley's results have been tabulated by his daughter, Helen Coley Nauts, D.Sc., former executive director of the Cancer Research Institute, Inc., in New York City [11]. She and her medical colleagues have documented 894 cases treated with Coley's vaccine. Examples:
Tumor type # of operable Alive after # of inoper. Alive after
patients 5 years patients 5 years
Giant cell
bone tumor 38 33 (87%) 19 15 (79%)
Breast cancer 13 13 (100%) 20 13 (65%)
Other 5-year survival rates: 67% in Hodgkin's disease, 67% in inoperable ovarian cancer, 60% in inoperable malignant melanoma. Overall, patients with inoperable tumor of various kinds had 45% 5-year survival, while those with operable tumors had 50%.
In 1962, Dr. Barbara Johnston, M.D. published a double blind study on Coley's toxins. This study was conducted at New York University-Bellevue Hospital. The results were clear-cut. In the control group treated with fever inducing placebo, only one patient of 37 showed any signs of improvement. Of the 34 patients treated with Coley's toxins, 18 showed no improvement, 7 noted decreased pain while 9 showed such benefits as tumor necrosis, apparent inhibition of metastases, shrinkage of lymph nodes, and disappearance of tumors [12].
In 1982 at the conference held in Cologne, Germany, Mrs. Nauts reported the first results of randomized trials of MBV (Coley's toxins) begun in 1976 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering: Advanced non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients receiving MBV had a 93 percent remission rate as opposed to 29 percent for controls who received chemotherapy alone [13].

If you check they not only own many pharmacutical holdings but also started the American Cancer Society and American Dental Society. On the cancer research institute web site it stated Rockefeller foundation contributed $2000 and if you continue reading, it will show where this techology was overriden by radiation and chemo. There just is not enough money in good food research.
You also stated the fever rose with chemo and the reason is chemo is very toxic to the body but distroys the immune system in the process.
Because not only my Dad was suffering with cancer but my Mom developed Parkinson's - dementia. I was so mad because I knew they took much better care of themselves for 40 years than most other people. Almost every disease out there is effected by the immune system including Parkinson's. I discovered that with Mom, her doctors had her on a product called Lipator for many years and there was a class action law suite because one of the side effects is dementia and the drug companies had not listed this.
By the way, when was started Dad on food supplements, we took him off all other products including the vitamins. It was not until we did this did his condition improve.
I have also had my 78 years old handicapped aunt on these products since I took over her care in 2004 and one by one they took her off all drugs. The doctors had her on depression meds and other stuff and I had her blood work done about every six weeks until they said she too could get off stuff. The nurse always comments when we take her in that they wish their blood work looked as good as hers. Because she cannot cook and much of the meals the senior citizens get are full of processed products, I believe she would be sick again if I did not keep her on the food supplements. |

Florist,
I'm thinking you may be a pharmaceutical conspiracy theorist. That's not to say that's a bad thing. I think we all need to be skeptics and advocates for our loved ones. The problem is, while they are in the midst of a battle, most people must go with proven, studied treatments. I can't say that there is sufficient evidence to do anything but go with traditional therapy.
I recognize that it all about the almighty dollar though. That is why clinical trials do not allow participation to people who have been through heavy prior treatment. The pharm companies want "their" products to show clear evidence of benefit in first line treatments, so they are used more often and they profit.
As far as the Rockefeller family connection, I think their fortune was well-established decades before any pharmaceutical companies were in place. It does appear that they have rather murky ethics however and fingers in several health areas. Interesting, and I'm going investigate more on your lead.
As far as the immune system, I can only go with personal experience. My husband had an amazing immune system and was never sick a day in his life. There's a lot more, but his immune system was never, ever a question mark for me. I think genetics play a far bigger role than research has proven to date. Recently I found the following article, in relation to the type of cancer my husband had, and this is showing me that my genetic hunch was probably on target. His family history bears this out. http://www.thestar.com/living/article/409440
Keep going friend -- you may be hitting some of the right cylinders with your research. We all have to remain open to all possibilities.

Yes, I guess I am a little hard on them. But you must admit, the research which showed the greatest number of cancer patients helped was stopped.
Also, the research about the immune system shows that a very healthy immune system will bring on fever with toxins added to the body. And the key with treatment was to not suppress the fever until it had distroyed the caner.
I guess if Dr. Coley's daughter were still alive, we would probably have the answer. Too with further review, you will see the discovery would not have produced the $1000 pill so to speak in the way of money for meds.
The Rockefeller fortune is not my concern - in fact I really hope blessed people put their efforts into helping others. It is that they do not research any treatment which does not produce drugs. And as all know, drugs are toxins. They cannot sell anything as a drug until they are a toxin.
Now with genetics - I say hog wash to this fact. If my grandpa was missing something - then my Dad or Mom was missing it and now it will be my responsibility to find out what they were missing and make sure I add it to my diet or not add to my diet.
I do believe envirnment does play a big role. Like someone who lives in a city with constant smog. The smog is produced by the same toxins that cig produce. Stress is another factor. Home cleaning and body products which all have health risks. Just a lot of items which our bodies are bombarded with that break down the one thing that God made our bodies to do. Fight intrusions. |

Hi,
I have to disagree with you on genetics. There is iron-clad evidence of many familial diseases that are passed down genetically, including some cancers. Take sickle-cell anemia, as an example. My husband had a genetically transferred blood disorder and so did several of his siblings. It's not about adding something to your diet to "fix" these issues. You can't fix DNA and chromosomes, at least not yet and certainly not through supplementation. It's about being predisposed to having the disease turn up because of genetics. Then, certain external forces in a person's environment can flip that genetic switch to cause cancer or other illnesses. I think its a culmination of many factors, but genetics is a player in many scenarios.
I do have to say that in looking into the Rockefeller family, there are some startling parallels to their interests in education, medical schools, and pharmaceutical companies. Maybe we are all pawns in a much larger game than we realize -- a game run by generations of very powerful families. It's certainly food for thought.
I have always thought that fever was the body's natural response to attack something that wasn't right. Problem with cancer is that we have to utilize what is known, whether it's the best remains to be seen. I hope for my children's sakes that far more research is done. Not all chemotherapeutic agents are synthetic either. Some of them come from natural sources, such as the Yew tree.
Interesting conversation!

probably those diseases which could not be helped by a change in food or with certain food supplements. My aunt is 78 handicapped from birth. I guess it was too many years ago to know exactly what she really has and she is spastic with her walking and I am the only one which understands all she says. She can read her Bible out loud but cannot add numbers. She cannot cook and even though she could now get into a bath tub by herself, I would not allow her too. She lives alone but I have people who come with meals, cook, shop and bathe her. She feels independent. I did put her on the supplements four years ago and at least she no longer is on any drugs. Yes, it took some time to revisit the doctor and make sure her blood counts were in order before the doctor took her off the cholestrol meds and it also took some time to make sure she could come off all the depression meds. We did notice after two years her toes relaxed and I had to purchase 1/2 size larger shoe. Not sure why at 78 her feet changed but as long as I know she is happy.
But this is a cancer site and my quest is to find immune answers, which I am finally finding. Will post later though.
Hope you have a great day. |
