Hi my name is kelvin and I'm 32 years old Asian male
5'5" 200 lbs

3 weeks ago I noticed a lump in my armpit and started to feel sick.

I went to the doctor and he put me on antibioics for infection and said If the lump doesnt go down in 2 weeks he will order a biopsy.

I saw him yesterday and he said the swelling went down, its not big as before and its not visible and said a biopsy is not needed but i noticed I've been getting night sweats.
Since its going down should I still be concerned.

He said the night sweats might be caused with sleep apnea because of my weight

Is the doctor right? please respond

thx

In most cases, your doctor is right. Most enlarged lymph nodes ARE caused by an infection. The fact that it has decreased in size with antibiotics points in that direction.

Sleep apnea is probably your greatest health and life risk at this point. It can cause night sweats but more importantly sleep apnea puts a lot of stress on your lungs and heart. Keep working with your medical team do address this issue.

Good luck.
