Hello
I have been having symptoms like upper left under ribs pain in back. Started off and on in 2004 has gradually worsened over time and the last 2 years the pain is also in the left mid side of my abdomen. Nothing seems to help it. I have had an EGD and the doc said gastritis and gave me Protonix. It seemed to help at the time but now nothing helps. Needless to say I am scared and I have only a short term ins that will not pay for any test because I have previously been to the doc for this. Any advise. As I type this my side/back/abdomen hurt/burn and sometimes feels like it is pulling. Thanks

Kristie, I am very sorry about your health concerns. It does make it more complicated when your insurance will not cover the office visits because you need to continue to work with your doctors to find the cause or causes for your symptoms. So many things can cause your symptoms. Have they done any type of scans or diagnostic tests, other than the EGD? Why to you think it is Pancreatic Cancer? The only advice I can give you it to continue to work with your medical team. If you to not have confidence in them, then ask for a second opinion.

I don't know why I think pancreatic cancer I just know there is not much on that side of the body except the spleen,tail of the pancrease and a lung. I have had CXR and it is clear. I have been having other things too like feeling like I am going to faint (never in my 39 years have I felt that way) it happened while driving 2 times. It was so bad I punched in 911 on my cell incase I needed them. Thank God it passed in a minute but I still didn't feel right the rest of the day

I had symptoms like you described and I had a diseased gall bladder. The symptoms similar to yours were gall bladder attacks. I hope it's not PC. My aunt has that (over a year now) and tonight I started reading everything. Anyways going on 3 years with no gall bladder and life is fine. Goodluck to you!
