Very Happy The news has been great so far. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've had the surgery to remove the leiomyosarcoma (as well as amputate my right great toe) and it looks like it was all removed. The pathology reports have all come back good and my oncologist has said he doesn't believe adjunctive radiation is indicated. he also said the sarcoma nanogram indicates greater than 90% chance I'll remain free from any reoccurence. Of course that's statistics and there's still the 10% but I'm going for the 90%. Am having a records review at a Sarcoma Center to make sure we've covered all the bases, but things are looking very good. As soon as my foot heals I should be doing nothing but moving forward.

Thanks everybody for all the support.

Sally, I am very glad that you have such a great prognosis and will not need any type of followup treatment!

Good luck.

That's great, Sally! I'm so glad to hear that.

I bet you were excited when he said no radiation, haha, that's some good news for you.

Keep us updated on your progress.
