Yesterday was a busy day at work. I was full and had all the things I love in. The relaxation treatments, spa treatments and sleepy treatments like- Facials, hot rock massage. I even had lunch. yay- though i packed a lunch- crackers and an ornage- wasn't much, but who would have thought...a lunch break!
The one thing i noticed yesterday was Teenagers. Mass of them yesterday. Alot of teenager and young adults wearing black skin tight jeans. from waist to feet. With big romp n stomp boots, or tiny flat sneakers. (like boat shoes) Some of them looked trendy and into fashion. Others look like they grew into those jeans. Man, I must be getting old. It is an improvement though- We had the long baggy jeans for a long time there. Undies showing. jeans belted at the thighs, or knees. So at least the kids are covered a little more.
Though the Young Girls are still wearing hip hugging jeans- weither they should, or not. These girls came in wearing 3 sizes to small jeans and pants, with their bulge rolling over the top. Don't they see that??? Here I am wearing 3x sizes too big, just so nothing hugs or sits. Its sad to see. It would be great to see some nice fashion come out.
Alot of the day we saw girls/teenagers wearing layers of tops, all old and worn looking. Jeans and pants with tummy rolls flowing out of them. And Bum crack- like ewewew- when was that sexy???
Hehehe- sorry- If i had my way, Hunter would be still in a jumpsuit- all in one. _________________ Thinking of you Inica

Feel like i swallowed a packet of razzor blades, can hardly swallow at all.

Been so sick- and so upset that i'll miss Phantom of the Opera- I remeber clearly when mum and dad went in 1987- i was so cheesed off i couldn't go- was only 11 or so.
so....
Ok so We went. We had to pick up our tickets, so even to give to my brother, we had to be the ones to pick up- ID etc etc. So why travel all that way, and miss the show.? So i dosed myself up with everything.
Off we went. of course the weekend that the Pope has to come visit...luckey we had a good drive. 2/3 hours later get to Sydney. My Younger brother meets up with us for lunch. - "My Last Meal"- seriously... It feels that way- Starting a New blood test diet- need to do something for my health and my mind...
So My brother decides I should "think outside the box" and have something different...Like I seriously feel like something "different" when i feel so ill. Anyway we had Koriean.
We had bean curd- some jelly/raw fish look alike. Seaweed, some chilli intestine and smoked eel... Clint looks straight at me and says" try some.
What could I do... I had the curd OMG! The texture revolting! and i started to retch , He looks at me and starts to go red in face- not happy. (always going on how i won't- look outside the box) anyway i swallowed it down with diet coke, like you used to do to your vegies as a kid. Then blamed the sauce with the curd. ewewew
Then some slimy, salty seaweed. Well, talked about a long stand of unchewable, well.... seaweed. Swallow.
Then the intestine...well, it's all i could think of, and i have a weak stomach, I can't eat really hot food, or go on amuesment rides.. Well this was a challenge. So i got some in bowl with rice, ate the rice... then put the rest in a napkin. "mmmm nice" hehe
The eel was the best (it was cooked and tasted like a chewy overcooked fish- but salty), but came with the raw fish side dish. Eye Balls looking at you, hard to swallow.
We went to the Novetel To book in. The first time ever i had to buy quick-eze. What a way to have my last day of my old life. We get ready for Phantom of the Opera. Pick up the tickets and try to find something to eat before it starts (2 hours later). Well, do you think we could find something without a line or $50 a salad.??? 20 minutes to go till show and what do we see...... A bloody susi, koriean buffett. !!!
Not on your bloody life! "Bro, I have look outside my box, I have tried and tasted. I ate the Eel, and as much as it was the best, It's the meal that never ends. EVER!" No way!.
I walked to the subway next-door,and had a half salad roll, and thought well, surpose it's my last meal- BREAD! (not lobster, or chocolate pudding or anything remotely "last meal".
"DOOOOM, DO DO DOOOOO" Phantom- absolutely amazing. 4 rows back and just goose bump materal - Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Then a chilli Gellato' on the water's edge... Mmmmm nice . Another bother- open your eyes.
Well I like my eyes shut- and tightly shut. Give me my meat, chicken and three veg any day. (I'm pretty good at trying things, even had rat once - but see, it at least was cooked
So In the end it was a memorable weekend to say the least. The show and atmostphere was amazing, the food not so much- but the laughter and the time spent together was the best... OOOO and the childless (love you hunter) sleep!!!!

Glad to hear that you had a great time at the opera. I love The Phantom of the Opera! I remember taking my father to see it for his 70th birthday so I have other fond connections to it. _________________ Jim

Hi all- been ages I know.
Too busy with living. Work, work, work and Hunter still sick and having ever increasing problems- poor guy. Then when i have got time on here, I race to see what I can do, hardly have time to post to many people anymore. But I am reading- to those that read this.
Jim (brainman) said i should post this, I was n't too sure where. I felt if i did this in the Brain Thread, that it might cheese people off. (not important enough, or serious).
- you know what i mean, the young ones that post "I have a head ache, could it be cancer?, Only had one though, and haven't seen Dr but read it on the internet...."
So here it goes here, If something does come of this, then I will post it.
I can't remember If i did post this ages ago, but my Dad about 6 months ago banged his leg really bad at work- he walked into a small fence that he didn't see. he had a small cut- 5cm long on shin.
It came up a massive lump, within a few hours a huge tennis ball and then bigger. It began to bruise and go purple, and spread.
A day later he thinks he should get it looked at men.
The Dr says it is a massive blood clot, just to watch it and it "should" dissolve into he's body again (by this stage the size of a small dinner plate and bruising from knee cap to ankle- swelling all the way too).
After a week, massive pain and can't move, he finally gets into his own Dr, who says, he needs to have it surgically removed. He couldn't get into the Dr for ages. By the time the Dr cut him open the clot had harden and looked like a kidney or liver coming out. It was sickly smelly (Gangreen s?) Alot of pus etc.... sorry. They biopsied it and it was clear.
So.... Last week Dad is asleep and awakes with massive painful cramp in leg (which he does get and takes medication for, also diabetic). He awakes suddenly and jumps out of bed. Stands and tries to stretch it out. all of a sudden he feels like he is going to be sick- so he walks into he ensuite, where he collapses Hitting his head on the toilet, splitting his lip and side of mouth. He is out cold.
Mum hears him and pulls him out from where he was wedged between the shower screen and toilet. She drags him onto his back checks him, checks his blood level- normal.
She calls an Ambulance (30min out of town- bush, small town of 24000,) by this time he is up and says he is ok, that all is alright. While he's body goes into shock. He shakes and is drenched in sweat, then he is unable to talk properly or answer any questions. The ambulance takes him to Hospital and give him cat scan, and all these other blood test etc. he is sent home. All was good the rest of the week.
On Thursday he went to his Dr to get results of the CAT scan. I rang home and could tell mum had been very upset. She couldn't talk to me, and put dad on. Dad was overly bright and said they couldn't find his brain. That he has to go to Canberra- our Capital and see a Nerologist, also have MRI etc.
before all of this i thought maybe fainted from the pain of the cramp- or IF really bad- then maybe a stroke...
I asked him about IF they saw anything, or was this to just rule out everything. He stumbled on his answer, "Just to check".
I guess You could say It hit me hard and scared the Shit out of me. My Family is my Life, and I can handle my own health problems, but when someone else- the hardest thing.
Anyway, he has been told to not work for a Month or drive, lift etc. Till the test anyway.....
I then Pm'ed Jim and asked a million questions. And I posted here.
So thats it for now... fingers crossed.

I Inica. I really do not think you have to worry about your father having brain cancer. However, equally as bad is a stroke. Blood clots in the legs are notorious for moving to the hard, lungs, or brain... any of which can cause major problems . The primary way to tried cloths is by use of a blood thiner. I do not want to overly alarm you. Many people have minor strokes and continue to have happy and productive long lives.
You and your father are in my thoughts and prayers. _________________ Jim

I spoke with him yesterday and noticed he had to ask the same question 3 times, over a peroid of maybe 10min- 15min. I truely think a stroke. If nothing else.

Dear In
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's health problems! I haven't checked your topic for a while. I am so sorry. I pray the worst case will be a small stroke which can be managed with general medicine & blood thinners.
You do an amazing job on this forum & you should never feel otherwise. With young Hunter & his health challenges, Adrian, your job & family you continue to offer your support & encouragement here almost daily. You must feel like every day you've run a marathon!
Thinking of you & prayers & thoughts for your Dad & Mum. Hugs for Hunter.
Cheers, Angie. _________________ Brother diagnosed with GBMIV Feb 07

Thanks Angie,
I think it is somethng simple and easy to fix- hopefuly something small- like a small stroke... Funny how even sometimes you can wish for something as bad as a stroke- saying hopefully and not worse.
Thanks also for your help on the Forum, with out you and PJB, I'd be lost.
I try to do what i can.

Hi In, I'm so sorry to read about your father. I hope and pray that's it's nothing too serious. It does seem strange wishing for a stroke but it just goes to show that some people go through a lot more in life then others. A lot of people could learn from seeing how other people have to struggle through life, it would probably make what they thought was the end of the world seem quite trivial. Please keep us up to date on how is going. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. _________________ Love to all. Jen.
